Friday 26 November, Primary students had a very important visit from a lady called Wendy from KESAB. KESAB Environmental Solutions has extensive knowledge and experience in delivering educational targeted waste management, water, litter, and environmental education programs in regional areas.

Wendy was able to spend time with each of our Primary classes to talk about waste management and more specifically, what we put in which bin.

A lesson discussing where our rubbish goes was followed by Recycle Relays as each class had the opportunity to compete with their peers in relays of putting our rubbish away.

On Monday 29 November, our Primary students gathered again, this time outside the front of the College with Wendy as we had a visit from a Rubbish Truck!

This very important rubbish truck was one of many which have been artistically decorated in the artwork from students around Port Pirie with the message “Let’s send less” rubbish.

Our Year 4 student Brandy Whiting won one of the four places to have her artwork on one of the local rubbish trucks. Great work Brandy!
