At Mid North Christian College, we aim to create a warm and caring environment not only for our students, but also for their families and members of the wider community. This week we opened our classrooms for our Open Day and welcomed hundreds of happy visitors to our College.

Guests were treated to a delicious range of treats from our talented student caterers, including pork sliders, mini quiches, sausage rolls, and lemon meringues. Meanwhile, the College Board and Association also cooked us a yummy BBQ, and we had a coffee van on site as well ensuring everyone had a warm drink.

All the classrooms as well as our specialised rooms such as Tech, Language, and the Aviation Hangar were all open for families to explore with their children. The students presented their project-based-learning work and demonstrated pride in their achievements. Other displays included robotics, Japanese furniture, motor mechanics, art, and a Medieval Museum. Games and books were  also available in the library for families to explore.

In the courtyards, we had some inflatable attractions such as an obstacle course, jumping castle and slam dunk competition. Our sports teachers organised a volleyball tournament on the COLA, as well as smaller mini games for students to play with their families.

For smaller children, they were free to wander through our playground and preschool room and play with toys, while their families learned about Mid North Minis – our Early Childhood and transition to school programs.

If you missed our Open Day but would like to get to know more about our College, our Principal would love to show you around! Please contact us on 8632 4240 to arrange a time to meet.
