Governance

How we are run

The College is independently owned and operated. While it is accountable to all applicable State and Federal laws, it is governed by an incorporated body - an association of people who care deeply about high quality, Christian education.

The Mid North Christian College Association has been formed by Christian parents who desire education that incorporates Christian values and principles for their children in a caring and disciplined environment with a high academic standard.

The Association holds regular meetings throughout the year, and has an AGM at which annual reports and statements of audited accounts are presented. Board members are appointed from the Association, and meet monthly with the Principal and business Manager to oversee the vision, strategic direction, and site master planning.

In 2016, Board members are Jeremy Kuipers (Chair), Lynton Joyce (Deputy Chair), Ian Miller (Treasurer), Andrew Velez, and Robert Hosking.

The Mid North Christian College Association

The Mid North Christian College Association exists:
  • To provide students with a positive Christ-centred education in a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • To enable students and their families to express, nurture and share a passionate faith in God revealed in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
  • To encourage and facilitate personal excellence in all learning.
To prepare students with resilience for life, helping each child to reach his or her full potential spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically. This includes preparation for future studies and employment.
